Room in the Inn - THANK YOU, VOLUNTEERS
Thank you to all the volunteers who made this another successful season of Room in the Inn. Over 100 members participated, many of you helped multiple times, and we fed and housed 194 homeless neighbors. A special thanks to LINDA DAVENPORT and KAREN AND DAVE O'BRIEN for organizing and stocking the closet every week and to SHEILA CLOANINGER for picking up, folding and sorting the linens, also every week, during the four months. Thank you to our Monthly Directors: ANN WHALEY AND BARBARA WILLIAMSON who worked with the Sunday School classes to make sure all needs were met. Again, thanks to everyone in our church family who lent a helping hand in this special outreach program.
Room in the Inn - Kerr Lounge Improvements
Both our homeless neighbors and the volunteers benefited this season from a number of improvements to the Kerr Building lounge. Thank you to the WOMEM OF THE CHURCH and SUSAN GRIFFIN & FAMILY for providing the funds for the new RITI closet, now located in the lounge, which made the program run much more smoothly. Thanks to PETE AND DOTTIE KASTNER who provided funds for two of the new couches in the lounge, to LINDA DAVENPORT for finding the couches, and to SUSAN GRIFFIN for having them delivered. Thanks to MIKE AND BETH BARNES for donating the two leather couches and to DENNIS AND DEBBIE CONNELL for the great new TV.
