VBS IS COMING JULY 12-16. This year's theme is "Camp Edge: Experience and Discover God Everywhere." Register today by picking up a registration form from the information rack across from the church office or you may register online below.
VBS has a supply wish list. In an effort to be good stewards of our financial resources, we are asking the congregation to help us collect these items. Our craft room needs button-up, long-sleeve shirts for the children to wear as paint smocks. Another of our projects during Camp EDGE will require the use of spray bottles. Will you please check your closets and cabinets for old shirts and empty spray bottles? Bring your donations to the collection box outside the church office by July 10.
For our VBS mission project this year, we will be collecting over-the-counter medicines and first aid items for the Urban Ministry Center. A doctor donates her time at the Urban Ministry Center every Monday. She tends to the homeless people, does minor treatments, and writes prescriptions. Everything she uses is funded out of her own pocket. Her wish list consists of the following items:
- Tylenol
- Ibuprofen (200 mg)
- Allergy medicines (Claritin, Allavert, or any GENERIC)
- 1% hydrocortisone cream
- Antifungal cream (for athlete's foot)
- Sunscreen
- Zantac, Prilosec, etc. (or the equivalent GENERIC)
- Halls cough drops
- Neosporin tubes (or the equivalent GENERIC)
- Nyquil & Dayquil capsules (NOT LIQUID - due to alcohol content)
- Cash for antibiotic fund ($20 provides a month's worth of antibiotics that the people will not have to pay for at the drugstore)
- Band-aids
- Adhesive tape
- Calamine lotion
- Antiseptic wipes
