"Let the little children to come to me...
for it is to such of these that the kingdom of God belongs."
Luke 18:16
The ministry of teaching is a vital and continuing part of the Church's mission. Philadelphia Presbyterian Church provides opportunities for all ages to discover the depth of the Christian faith and to understand the meaning of that faith in the present age.
A rich educational program that explores the Christian faith for all ages is presented every Sunday morning. All classes begin at 9:45 a.m. and run for one hour. (During the summer months, classes begin at 9:00 a.m.).
The Christian Education Ministry invites you and every member of your family to take part in the many and varied educational offerings every Sunday and throughout the year.
PURPOSE: The purpose of our CE program is to offer significant and engaging experiences for persons of all ages to grow in their knowledge and understanding of the Bible, to learn how to live as disciples of Jesus Christ, to uncover the relationship between Biblical teachings and life experiences, and become aware of the history and Reformed traditions of the church. Christian Education encourages faith formation, provides personal spiritual growth, an understanding of God’s providence, and a basis of Christian conviction. As we grow in faith together, our love of Christ will be exemplified in our support and care of one another and our response to the needs of the community as we strive to do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with our God.
